In my time as a furniture dealer, I’ve always appreciated that before machines, the craftsmanship of the cabinet maker is something we should not forget.
These skills are never lost on me when I look at something like this Victorian glazed cabinet.
It’s a beauty, the mahogany is magnificent, the patina rich and it’s size is capable of nearly all homes.
The glazed section has 2 adjustable shelves, this sites neatly over 2 drawers and a cupboard with a single shelf.
I love this as it is, I’m sure it’s been part of a home for a very long time and maybe one before that. She’s been loved and cared for and as a temporary custodian, I will care for her until she finds her next home.
She would suit a space where she would be useful as a bookcase or maybe a freestanding kitchen unit.
