Oak Bergere and Barley Twist Storage Bench Settle c1900

A fantastic looking antique oak bench or settle with a storage seat.

The details are simply divine; the bergere back rest with intricate carvings, the barley twist side columns and arm supports and the panelling on the front of the seat.

It’s one of the best benches I have ever had the pleasure to be a temporary custodian.
