Now this is a Wow piece - originally a Victorian bookcase which comes in two parts.

This would still make an excellent bookcase although I have painted many of these for dining rooms and kitchens.

I have dressed this beauty in Little Greene #lampblack and the inside is a mix of #emerald and #verdigris paints from Farrow & Ball.

The sign writing is subtle enough to add impact without taking away the vibrancy.

I believe in sustainable living so why do we want MDF pieces when our ancestors made such great furniture
