As a furniture painted I often get asked if I have a favourite colour.

It’s a tough question and really I have a top 3.

Toy Tank is in that list. It’s the most fabulous khaki green as the name suggests and looks even better with a lick of dark wax for characterful effect.

This heavily carved lions head kitchen cupboard is a Flemish piece found on the borders of Belgium and The Netherlands.

It dates to the late 19th/ early 20th century and is solid oak.

It would essentially have been used for storing glasses , plates and cutlery and perhaps also as a larder for some.

It remains a handy storage piece and along with the 2 cupboards there are also drawers at the top and in the centre.

A well used and loved item and rustic in nature. The key is for display purposes only.
